In this session, learn what grammar “camp” philosophies exist, and how William VanCleave offers a different way to teach  grammar and syntax through how words function in sentences. Teaching students about how syntax functions in context, along with providing several opportunities to create writing with mentor sentences, will make how students write more smoothly become apparent. Come experience a method by which students can learn how to write sentences more accurately and intentionally.  Identifying, expanding, combining, and creating sentences in a structured manner will cement student learning of how grammar functions.
