The National Reading Panel identified phonics as one of the critical components for teaching reading. However, if you’re like most teachers, your teacher preparation classes failed to provide the phonics knowledge that you needed for teaching beginning and struggling readers.
30 Days of Phonics provides the foundational information you need to understand our language and teach reading. Although 30 Days of Phonics doesn’t address the basic consonant sounds, each day you will receive an email with a video phonics lesson explaining an aspect of the English language.
By the end of the month, you’ll have the tools for helping your students navigate learning to read, and you’ll be able to provide an answer when they ask why “sign” is spelled with a “g.”
