Then we’ll use great children’s literature and play to create experiences that give students meaningful opportunities to practice those skills.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eYou’ll create three ready-to-use Purposeful Play stations—one for March, April, and May—designed specifically for your grade level and connected to Kansas ELA and Math standards.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThink St. Patrick’s Day Potato Palooza, inspired by Jamie O’Rourke and the Big Potato! We’ll take a great book and intentionally build an experience where students are reading, writing, counting, measuring, problem-solving, communicating, creating, collaborating, and PLAYING.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eBecause the magic isn’t simply putting out fun materials.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003ePurposeful Play means knowing WHY the materials are there, WHAT students are learning, and HOW we can use play to deepen that learning.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAlong the way, you’ll also create additional playful games and activities connected to your grade-level ELA and Math standards.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eYou’ll leave with three complete spring Purposeful Play stations, standards-connected games and activities, and a framework for creating playful learning experiences that are purposeful, intentional, and grounded in high-quality instruction.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWe’ll bring the books, ideas, materials, and supplies.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eYou bring your creativity and curiosity!\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eMake It.
