These cards engage students in a variety of tasks representing several skills. This deck contains four sets of picture cards that relate by initial and final sounds as well as ideas for an extended number of additional tasks and sorting activities. This activity is aligned to the Reading Foundational Skills: Phonological Awareness and Phonics and Word Recognition, and the Language Standard: Conventions. The cards may be used with partners or as a teacher-led activity with a group of students.
